⛸️ Lace Up—Ice Season Is On at The Pavilion! ❄️

Winter weather showed up right on time, and Bend Park and Rec has officially opened The Pavilion for the ice season! Whether you're into skating, hockey, or curling, there's something for everyone—from now through early April (as long as the weather cooperates). The Pavilion is open daily, from early morning into the night, with open skate sessions every day—no reservations needed. Just drop in, rent some skates if you need to ($4), and glide away. Admission ranges from $8 to $10 depending on age, and there are fun discount sessions like Family Skate and “Cheap Skates” for $8 including rentals.

The crew at The Pavilion worked overnight shifts to get the ice ready, and it all came together just in time. “The arrival of the ice sheet is welcomed by our staff as well as the community,” said Pavilion Manager Clare Gordon. “We’re excited for a full season of programs, drop-ins and events starting right away.”

🎟️ New this year: If you have BPRD’s Fitness, Swim & Skate Pass, you can now skate at The Pavilion at no extra charge! The pass gives you access to public skating (and roller skating in warmer months), plus fitness classes, swim sessions, hot tubs, indoor tracks, and more at Juniper Swim & Fitness Center and Larkspur Community Center. Heads up—many of the current ice programs are nearly full, but registration for the January–March session opens December 9. More info at bendparksandrec.org
