🐾 Hungry Hound's Second Saturday: Paws & Pints

πŸ“ Greg's Grill Lawn, Old Mill District, Bend
πŸ“… Saturday, August 8 | πŸ•› 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM
πŸ’² Free Admission (Food, beverages & vendor purchases available.)

There are plenty of places to grab a drink with friends in Bend, but only one where your four-legged best friend is the guest of honor. Hungry Hound's monthly Paws & Pints gathering returns to the Old Mill District for an afternoon of local vendors, adoptable dogs, pet-friendly shopping, live demonstrations and plenty of social time for both humans and pups.

Hosted on the lawn beside Greg's Grill, this community favorite is equal parts adoption event and neighborhood gathering. Visitors can meet rescue organizations, browse pet products, enjoy lunch or a local brew, and maybe even meet a new family member. Whether you arrive with your own dog or simply love being surrounded by happy tails, it's one of Bend's most feel-good summer events.

🎻 Late for the Train Plays Dead

πŸ“ Father Luke's Room, McMenamins Old St. Francis School, Bend
πŸ“… Wednesday, August 5 | πŸ•– 7:00 PM
πŸ’² Free β€’ All Ages

Fans of the Grateful Dead won't want to miss this special stop during McMenamins' annual Days Between celebration honoring Jerry Garcia. Northern California favorites Late for the Train bring their signature blend of bluegrass, Americana and improvisational jam music to an intimate setting that's perfectly suited for an evening of classic Dead-inspired tunes.

Rather than simply covering familiar songs, the band adds its own acoustic style and musical personality to every performance, creating a show that feels both nostalgic and refreshingly original. Grab dinner beforehand, settle into Father Luke's Room, and enjoy a laid-back summer night filled with timeless music and outstanding musicianship.

🏍️ MX13 Arenacross

πŸ“ Deschutes County Fair & Expo Center, Redmond
πŸ“… Friday & Saturday, August 7–8 | πŸ•– Main Events Begin at 7:00 PM
πŸ’² Adults $20 β€’ Ages 6–12 $15 β€’ Ages 5 & Under Free

Expect two nights of nonstop action as MX13 Arenacross transforms the Deschutes County Fairgrounds into one of the Pacific Northwest's biggest indoor-style motocross experiences. Riders from across the region will battle through rhythm sections, technical turns and soaring jumps while competing for cash, championships and bragging rights.

The weekend features racing for everyone from young riders just starting out to seasoned professionals, plus freestyle motocross demonstrations that send riders flying high above the course. With stadium lighting, roaring engines and edge-of-your-seat competition, it's one of the most exciting spectator events happening in Central Oregon this week.
